Allan Ferguson, P.Eng.
President
A professional engineer for nearly 30 years, Allan also holds an MBA and has enjoyed a varied career beginning in heavy equipment and electrical sales roles prior to a 12-year career as an investment broker. Allan also served as President of East Coast International Trucks for three years before acquiring Ace Mechanical Limited in 2014.

The core values at Ace are focused on efficiency, knowledge, service, and quality. Maintaining schedule and coordinating well with both owners and other trades are also vitally important to us. We are focused on building on our extensive history in the HRM market providing for full range of mechanical contracting services including plumbing, heating, ventilation, fire stopping, pipe insulation, natural gas, and controls.
Geno Pace, Plumbing & Heating Specialist
Vice President
Geno is a plumbing & heating specialist with over 35 years of experience. Starting at the site level, he has progressed through the industry gaining valuable experience on several hundred projects. Geno has spent the past 20+ years in several senior leadership roles with Ace influencing design, constructability, code compliance, and equipment selection.
Geno has a substantial inventory of key skills including:

Value engineering
Equipment selection and design resulting in capital and operating cost savings for owners.
Constructability reviews
Revising initial mechanical plans to improve constructability and code compliance to minimize the change order process which negatively impact project cost and schedule.

Architectural coordination
Ensuring spatial requirements are properly coordinated during the design phase.

Geno also employs a vast knowledge of the National Plumbing Code of Canada, which allows for optimal application to achieve functional and compliant systems.
Ian MacDougall
Project Manager
Joining Ace in 2006, Ian has since progressed through apprentice, journeyman, foreman and management roles. In his current role as Project Manager, Ian oversees all labour and material management for our active projects. He also interfaces with owners, construction managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and our site staff constantly to ensure progress is maintained and challenges are managed on an efficient and professional basis.
Orit Paunescu
Accounting & Administration Manager
Holding diplomas in both Accounting and Payroll from the College of Management, Israel, Orit has over 12 years of work experience as an Accounting Bookkeeper and Payroll Coordinator, including 10 years experience as an Administrative Assistant. Orit’s extensive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, payroll, and office administration allow Ace Mechanical to operate smoothly and efficiently. Her work is accurate and organized. Orit’s extraordinary attention to detail benefits our team and our clients.
